Press Release: Middleton Man Jailed Again within 24 Hours of Release

On 07/19/2013, Jeff Kinsley, LKA 4 Buttermilk Lane, Middleton, N.H. was arrested and charged with:  False Reports to a Law Enforcement Officer, Violation of a Protective Order, Simple Assault and Resisting Arrest.

At approximately 0830 a.m. Mr. Kinsley struck a telephone pole on Pleasant Valley Road in Middleton.  He drove to the Middleton Town Hall where he reported that he was forced off the Road and into the telephone pole.  He was transported by ambulance to Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester for what appeared to be minor injuries.

Upon being released at the hospital at approximately 12:30 P.M today, Mr. Kinsley made a phone call to his estranged girlfriend in Middleton, N.H.  This was made in violation of a protective order issued out of the 7th Circuit Court in Rochester.

The victim immediately notified police which resulted in a BOLO for Mr. Kinsley and a stop and arrest request under NH Domestic Violence Laws.

Kinsley arrived at the Middleton Police Station to retrieve his vehicle.  Upon arrival at the police station, Kinsley was advised that he was under arrest for violating the protective order.  During this time period, Kinsley walked away from Sgt. Lamontagne within the Middleton Police Station.  While effecting the arrest, Kinsley punched Sgt. Lamontagne in the wrist area.  Sgt. Lamontagne was uninjured during the assault.  Additional Police units were requested resulting in a response from the Milton and Farmington Police Departments.

Mr. Kinsley was transported to the Strafford County Jail where he is being held without bail on the Violation of Protective Order.  He refused the services of a bail commissioner.  He will be arraigned by video from the House of Correction at the 7th Circuit Court, Rochester, New Hampshire on Monday 06-22-2013 at 11:00 a.m.

Mr Kinsley was convicted in the 7th Circuit Court on 07/18/2013  on a charge of violating a protective order involving the same victim.  He was sentenced to 365 days in the House of Correction with all but 49 days suspended.  Mr. Kinsley was given credit for the 49 days he served in jail pending trial.  The suspended sentence was conditional on good behavior and a domestic violence evaluation which was required to be conducted within 60 days.

Mr. Kinsley is also out of $5000 PR Bail on a felony charge of Criminal Threatening.  That case is pending in the Strafford County Superior Court and is being prosecuted by the Office of the Strafford County Attorney.  Bail Supervision was being provided by the Strafford County Community Corrections Program who has been notified of the arrest.  Any further information on the felony case is being referred to the Office of the Strafford County Attorney.
