On 04-16-2013 as a result of a cooperative investigation
between the New Hampshire State Police Sexual Offender Division and the
Middleton, New Hampshire Police Department, a felony arrest warrant was issued
for:
George J. Brown (Age 61)
LKA 73 Drew Drive
Middleton, NH. 03887
For the Crime of “Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. “
The only information that Middleton Police had at the time
of the warrant being issued was that Mr. Brown was living somewhere in the
Manchester, New Hampshire area.
Because of this, the Middleton Police Department requested
the assistance of the United States Marshal’s Service. United States Marshal for New Hampshire David
Cargill Jr. assigned the matter to Deputy U.S.
Marshal Mark Lewis of the Sexual Offender Apprehension Unit on
04-17-2013. The U.S. Marshals Service
was provided a copy of the warrant and photos of Mr. Brown.
Within 24 hours of receiving the warrant, the United States
Marshal’s Service in conjunction with the Manchester Police Department located
and arrested George Brown in the City of Manchester, NH. He was released on $5000.00 PR Bail and will
be arraigned in the 7th Circuit Court, Rochester Division on
06-04-2013. Failure to register as a sex
offender in this case is a Class B Felony punishable by up to 3.5 to 7 years in
the New Hampshire State Prison.
This is a prime example of the cooperation and coordination
of Federal, State and Local Law Enforcement in the State of New Hampshire. File Photo of Mr. Brown is located Below:
