Additional Suspects Arrested in Middleton Road Rage Case

Based on an ongoing information investigation and investigative leads generated by a televised news story shown on WMUR Channel 9 concerning the Middleton Road Rage Case, members of the Middleton Police Department applied for and was granted an arrest warrant charging:

James Hartford (Age 17)
LKA 504 Main Street Apartment 2
Farmington, N.H. 03835
 
and
 
Justin  Barnes (Age 22)
504 Main Street Apartment 2
Farmington, N.H. 03835
 
with Conspiracy to commit Criminal Threatening, a Class B Felony punishable by up to 3 and one half years to seven years in the New Hampshire State Prison.  The complaint alleges that Barnes and Hartford conspired to commit the crime of criminal threatening by attempting to run the victim off the road while threatening to kill him.
 
Both Defendants were arrested by members of the Farmington, New Hampshire Police at 504 Main Street in Farmington at approximately 11:00 P.M.  Both Defendants were transported to the Strafford County Jail in Dover, New Hampshire after refusing bail.  They will be arraigned in the 7th Circuit Court in Rochester, New Hampshire at 11:00 a.m. on 01-31-2013. 
 
At this point this investigation continues to remain active.  Additional charges may be filed in the future however no additional persons are expected to be charged.
 
This case involved a case during which the victim and the Defendants are known to each other and the victim was targeted.  There is no reason for public alarm.
 
Do to the ongoing nature of the investigation, no further information will be released at this time.
