On today's date at approximately 3:55 p.m Middleton Police were notified that a 6 year old autistic child left his residence via a window and was missing.
This occurred in the Hampshire Shore area.
Three Middleton Police units assisted by the ambulance set up a perimeter around the area to keep the child contained to the area.
A state police K-9 unit was requested as were fire department personnel.
A short time later, the child returned to the residence on his own.
All additional resources were cancelled. The child was unharmed.
