On today's date at approximately 5:44 P.M. Members of the Middleton Police arrested:
Zachary Garland Age 20
11 Dudley Dr
Middleton, NH 03887
for three charges of Aggravated Felonious Sexual Assault which occurred in the Town of Middleton during the Month of August. The victim was a 13 year old female who was not related to the Defendant. The three felonies filed are all related to one incident.
This offense was first reported to the Somersworth Police Department who in-turn forwarded the case to the Farmington Police Department as it was originally believed the offense occurred in the Town of Farmington. During follow-up investigation, Farmington Police were able to locate the residence where the offense occurred and determined that it was in the Town of Middleton.
Middleton Police conducted further follow up which resulted in the issuance of an arrest warrant and a search warrant for social media records.
Aggravated Felonious Sexual Assault is a special felony punishable by up to twenty years in the New Hampshire State Prison for each offense.
Bail was set at $35,000.00 Cash Only and he was held at the Strafford County Jail, Dover, New Hampshire.
He will be arraigned in the 7th Circuit Court on 12/17/2015 at 11:00 a.m.
