Wakefield Resident arrested during Multi-Jurisdictional Investigation

On 08-12-2015, at approximately 7:30 a.m. ambulance personnel from the Middleton Fire and Rescue along with members of the Middleton Police were dispatched to a Silver Street residence for a reported sexual assault.

A female was transported from the residence to a local hospital with non life threatening injuries.

Based on information gathered at scene, Middleton Police determined that the reported crimes spanned the jurisdictions of Middleton, Wakefield and Milton, New Hampshire.

Middleton Police made notifications to the Wakefield Police who joined forces at the scene shortly after.

Based on the size of the scene and man-power requirements, Middleton Police requested assistance from the New Hampshire State Police.  Detectives assigned to Troop A responded as did Detectives assigned to the New Hampshire State Police Major Crime Unit.

As a result of a lengthy investigation:

Wakefield, N.H. 

was arrested by the Wakefield Police at 12:45 P.M. this date by virtue of an active arrest warrant issued to the Middleton Police charging him  with:

Violation of a Protective Order

for possessing a firearm in violation of a Protective Order.

He was further charged by the Wakefield, N.H. Police with:

Aggravated Felonious Sexual Assault 
Violation of Protective Order

Additional Charges may be brought before the Grand Jury Process

He was transported to the Carroll County Jail where he as held without bail because of the Protective Order Violations.  He will be arraigned on the Carroll County Charges Monday, followed by a 1:00 pm arraignment in the 7th Circuit Court Rochester.  Further charges may be possible once this case is submitted to the Grand Jury.

Any information related to the AFSA charge is being referred by this agency to the Wakefield Police Department.
