Currently, the State of New Hampshire operates a reverse 911 system. During qualified emergencies, we or our Dispatch Center can contact a 911 Supervisor and request that a phone call be made advising residents of an emergency. We can issue the phone calls town wide or restrict them to a neighborhood or radius if needed.
If you are a FairPoint customer, your information is already in the 911 system. Any other phone system requires self-registration. If you are a Time Warner customer, you will not receive these calls unless you register. A registration form must be filled out for each phone number where you want to receive calls. If you work out of town and want the calls, you must register your cellphone.
The link to register is here: https://public.coderedweb.com/CNE/BFC2664C2B92
If you know of someone who does not have a computer and needs to register a cellphone, Time Warner Phone or other service, have them contact Tim Brown at the police station and he will assist them in getting registered using a police department computer. We can also go to the residence and register using a laptop if the person is unable to come to the police station.
In the event of an emergency, such as a missing child or an emergency involving a shelter in place request for evacuation, we will request a 911 reverse call be made. In addition the same information will be broadcast over our Social Media Accounts. This blog also automatically copies to the town website under the police tab. Here is the link which goes directly to the police page. The Blog is on the right side: http://www.middletonnh.gov/town-departments/police/
We also have a mobile app available in the Android Playstore and the Iphone App Store. Search "Middleton Police" in your store and this will bring you to the app. During an emergency if you allow the mobile app to receive push notifications, you will receive important advisories and information.
Our push notification can be set so that they are received by all users, a neighborhood or they can be received when you enter an area.
We do not track users. Anyone that has concerns with tracking and wants to see the server side of the software can see Tim Brown who will be glad to show you how it works.
Any questions or suggestions can be sent to tbrown@middletonnh.gov
