For those who do know it, there is a group of volunteers in Town who work hard at putting together Community Events for Adults and Children in Town to make the Town of Middleton a more enjoyable community. They work countless hours planning, preparing and hosting multiple events.
On August 03, 2013, they will be hosting a Chicken Barbecue at the Town Park located in Kings Highway next to the Town Hall. The committee will be meeting this Wednesday night to finalize plans such as parking, events etc. We will post that information when we have it but we expect the day to be fun filled as most of their events are.
This will be a day long event that will consist of great food and lots of fun and games. They are also planning a penny sale which will have lots of cool items to bid on. A small sample includes 2 New England Dragway tickets, a framed photo from one of our local artists, a dress from reversable4kids (another Middleton Business) a $25.00 gift certificate from GMC Deprizios and a Garden Basket from Middleton Lumber plus much more.
I am on vacation this week and will not be at the Recreation Committee Meeting. They are always looking for spirited help that want to make things fun. If you are interested, stop by and say hello to them. I will post updates later this week on the schedule and planned events. If the Rumors are correct, this will be a great way to spend your day with lots of fun and great food.
