Minor Injuries in Middleton Crash

On 07-13-2013 members of the Middleton and Milton Police Departments as well as Middleton Fire and Farmington Fire and Rescue responded to Route 153 in the area of 150 Route 153, Middleton for a reported motor vehicle collision.

Preliminary investigation reveals that:

Travis Bureau (Age 23)
1346 Sokokis Trail
Waterboro, Maine

was operating a 2009 Chevorlet Cobolt on Route 153 towards Wakefield.  An unknown dog ran out in front of Bureau's vehicle causing Bureau to brake.

A second vehicle, a 2003 Toyota Corolla operated by:

Diana Dodier (Age 34)
233 Forrest Street
Sanbornville, NH

was also driving behind the Cobolt and failed to stop in time, striking the Chevy Cobolt.  Both vehicles sustained significant injuries.

Both drivers suffered what appeared to be minor injuries and refused the services of the ambulance.

Route 153 was closed for approximately 30 minutes while rescue workers tended to the injured workers and the vehicle and debris was cleared from the roadway.

The operator of the Cobolt was wearing his seatbelt and no airbag deployment occured in his vehicle. The operator of the Toyota was not wearing a seatbelt and both airbag systems deployed.

The dog was not struck and ran from the scene prior to police arrival.

While the collision investigation remains under investigation, and a determination on charges has not been made, speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors.
