Motor Vehicle Incident Results in Two Individuals being charged

On 02-17-2013 at approximately 10:00 a.m.  a member of the Middleton Police Department observed a 2004 Nissan Frontier operating on Silver Street in the Town of Middleton at an excessive rate of speed.  At the time of the incident, it was snowing and town roads were slick.

The Nissan Frontier was fish-ailing and if it had not been for evasive actions of the Officer driving the police car, a collision would have occured between the police car and the Nissan Frontier.

The operatior of the Nissan Frontier:

Kevin Gaffney Age 28
79 Elm Street
Farmington, N.H.
 
was charged with a violation level Reckless Operation.  He was released on a hand summons to appear in the 7th Circuit Court Rochester at 8:00 a.m. on 03-19-2012.
 
 
A passenger in the vehicle:
 
James L. Elliott Age 25
25 Bunker Street Apt 2
Farmington N.H.
 
was arrested by virtue of a criminal arrest order issued out of the Strafford County Superior Court
for a non-appearance in the Strafford County Superior Court on 02/07/2013.  He was transported to the Strafford County Jail where he is being held on $831.88 bail which had been set by the Superior Court.  A court date will be scheduled in the future on this matter by the Superior Court.
