On Behalf of Chief Randy Sobel of the Middleton, N.H. Police Department the following information is released:

 On 01/18/13, the Dover N.H. Police Department arrested
 
Joshua Hussey, Age 21

22 Winter Street

Dover, NH

 on an outstanding Arrest Warrant issued to the Middleton Police Department.  The Warrant was issued based upon a road rage incident that occurred in the evening hours of 01/17/13.

 At approximately 8:30 PM on 01/17/13, the Middleton Police Department responded to the area of Route 153 in Middleton for a reported on going road rage incident.  It was reported that Joshua Hussey and an unidentified passenger were chasing two people from Farmington through Milton and into Middleton.

The reporting party alleged that Mr. Hussey was attempting to drive them off the road.  It was also reported that the unidentified passenger in Mr. Hussey’s vehicle was attempting to break windows out of the victim’s car using a long pole with a knife attached to the end as they drove on Route 153.

 It is also alleged that the victims were threatened with a baseball bat and a chainsaw at the beginning of the altercation on Main Street in Farmington, NH.

Multiple police units including Middleton, Milton, Farmington, New Durham and New Hampshire State Police were dispatched to the area around Middleton in an attempt to make contact with this rolling road rage incident.

 The two victims were able to make their way to the Farmington Police Department at which time Mr. Hussey and the unknown passenger left the area.

 The two victims and two other witnesses were interviewed by the Middleton Police Department and an Arrest Warrant was issued for Mr. Hussey for Reckless Conduct and for Criminal Liability for Conduct of Another.  Both offenses are being charged as Felony level offenses as Deadly Weapons were used in the commission of these crimes.  A class B felony is punishable by up to three and one half to seven years in state prison.

 Mr Hussey was arraigned today in the 7th Circuit Court, Rochester during which bail was set at $5000 PR with a no contact order with the victim.
 
This incident remains under investigation and additional arrests or charges may be filed.  Because of the ongoing investigation, no further information will be released.

The Middleton Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the passenger in Mr. Hussey’s vehicle.  Any helpful information can be forwarded to the Middleton Police Department at (603) 473-8548.
